The Colson Center Hosts 8th Annual Great Lakes Symposium to Explore How to Stay Human in an Age of AI

PETOSKEY, MI. (June 3, 2026)The Colson Center (TCC) will host the 8th annual Great Lakes Symposium about “Staying Human in the Age of Artificial Intelligence (AI)” on August 6 at 7 p.m. ET at the Great Lakes Center for the Arts. TCC President John Stonestreet will be joined by AI experts to discuss how Christians can live from their God-given humanity in an AI-driven world.

“Technologies like AI make the need for Christian formation more important than ever,” said John Stonestreet. “Christians must have a clear grasp on reality, especially on what it means to be human. AI is a wonderful tool for helping and serving people but can never replace people.”

The panel of speakers will address the promises and perils of artificial intelligence, human flourishing, and what it truly means to be human today. Featured speakers include:
