As an organization committed to the Christian worldview, the Colson Center holds Scripture as the foundation of our values and beliefs. These include the belief that every human being is created in the image of God, and therefore bears inherent dignity, worth, and value. This foundational belief informs our commitment to the sanctity of life, and the valuing of both babies and moms.
Across our products and programs, we’re committed to producing content that informs and strengthens believers in what the Christian worldview has to say about the sanctity of life. Below are several resources from our podcasts—Strong Women, Upstream, and Breakpoint—on the topics of abortion and the fight for life.
Roe v. Wade is a thing of the past, but this is just the latest chapter in the long and contentious story of abortion in America. Shane welcomes journalist and author Leah Savas to explain why knowing that history is critical to protecting unborn lives in the future.
Abortion supporters have argued that state abortion limits aren’t clear about whether healthcare for ectopic pregnancies and miscarriages is permitted. They argue that, as a result of this supposed lack of clarity, doctors have declined to perform necessary and potentially life-saving procedures out of fear of reprisal from officials enforcing state pro-life laws. Contrary to these claims, pro-life laws permit care for these devastating pregnancy complications and seek to protect the most vulnerable—that includes both babies and moms.
