Ministry Position Summary
The Colson Center is seeking an entrepreneurial and mission-driven Partner Relationship Manager to steward and expand relationships with mid-major and major ministry partners. This role manages a defined portfolio of donors, cultivates new partners, and strengthens engagement within an assigned region. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, self-starter, and strategic relationship builder who thrives in a ministry-oriented fundraising environment.
Key Ministry Responsibilities
- Manage an existing portfolio of mid-major and major ministry partners – cultivating, stewarding and soliciting on an annual basis.
- Research and identify potential new ministry partners.
- Engage existing ministry partners in identifying potential new partners for the organization.
- Organize donor and prospect gatherings. Coordinate with communications and events teams. Focus on small, private events.
- Enter all actions in donor database – Virtuous.
- Draft a monthly report communicating key functions.
- Attend all team and staff meetings.
- Travel as necessary to meet with and engage donors.
- Grow portfolio giving year after year.
- Work with Vice President of Development to create an annual partner engagement plan.
- Track all donations to ensure we properly thank mid-major and major ministry partners.
- Assist in securing sponsorships for the Colson Center ministry events.

Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree or comparable experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years of professional fundraising experience.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of new donor acquisition strategies and CRM tools (Virtuous experience preferred).
- Technology: Intermediate proficiency with project management tools (Asana) and Microsoft 365.
- Abilities: Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; ability to work independently as a self-starter; capable of relating well to donors across all giving levels.
