This description lays out the key ministry areas this position leads and supports.

Ministry Position Summary

The Social Media Coordinator is responsible for creating and growing Colson Center social media channels. They will communicate closely with internal product teams, service teams, and the Marketing Manager.

 

Key Ministry Responsibilities

  • Create and run marketing campaigns for all Colson Center products via Google, Facebook, Instagram, and more.

  • Work with Marketing Manager to effectively grow social media channels.

  • Create and edit copy for our products and channels.

  • Work closely with various cross teams to develop copy, graphics, and video assets for paid and organic posts.

  • Meet regularly with marketing team for standups and reviewing channel performance.

  • Respond to comments posted on different social media platforms.

  • Understand the Colson Center’s mission and the various products within our organization.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required

  • Experience: 1-2 years of professional experience managing social media channels with proven growth.

  • Knowledge areas: The successful candidate must be a great communicator and have excellent interpersonal skills. Expertise in growing accounts on Instagram specifically. Basic graphic design and video editing. Experience with LinkedIn campaigns.

  • Demonstrated ability to:
    • Create and grow successful social media channel(s)
    • Communicate clearly with team members and constituents
    • Use data to analyze the strength and weaknesses of social campaigns

  • Technology Skills: Meta Business Suite, Google Ads Manger, and Microsoft 365 required. HubSpot, ManyChat, and Metricool preferred.

  • Travel requirements: 1-2 times a year for ministry meetings.
