S. Michael Craven

S. Michael Craven serves as Vice President and Dean of the Colson Fellowship at the Colson Center for Christian Worldview. Under his leadership, the Colson Fellows Program has grown into one of the largest and most effective Christian worldview formation programs in the world, serving over 1,800 adults annually across more than 100 U.S. cities and in nine other countries. This rigorous ten-month journey compresses a lifetime of Christian wisdom into a transformational experience—equipping believers to recover the biblical Story, understand the cultural moment, and live with clarity, confidence, and courage as part of God’s redemptive mission in the world.

After leaving his career as a corporate CEO in 2001, Michael founded the Center for Christ & Culture, where his weekly commentaries reached more than a million readers. He is the author of Uncompromised Faith: Overcoming Our Culturalized Christianity (NavPress, 2009), a compelling call to return to a robust and historic faith in the face of modern compromise. 

Michael has spoken at leading venues including the University of California at Berkeley and the National Conference on Christian Apologetics. He served as an adjunct professor at Western Seminary, teaching Cultural Apologetics, and has appeared on national media outlets such as Fox News, CNN, ABC, and NBC.

Before joining the Colson Center in 2018, Michael served as president of BridgeBuilders, a gospel-centered ministry in South Dallas, where he developed a missional strategy for confronting and transforming the social and cultural roots of poverty.

Michael and his wife Carol have been married since 1990 and live in Dallas, Texas.
