The Colson Center Celebrates America’s 250th Birthday by Calling Americans Back to God’s Word at America Reads the Bible

Attend In-Person, Online National Bible Reading Event

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO. (April 13, 2026) — This April, the Colson Center will commemorate America’s 250th birthday by joining over 400 leaders and more than 120 ministry partners in calling Americans back to God’s Word at America Reads the Bible (ARB).

ARB is a 7-day historic, continuous public reading of the entire Bible by over 400 leaders from across the country in our nation’s capital. The event is hosted by Christians Engaged in partnership with Great American Pure Flix.

ARB is designed to commemorate America’s 250th birthday, inspiring others to hear the Bible during a pivotal cultural moment.

The Christian faith is personal but not private—it’s meant to be lived publicly,” said John Stonestreet, president of The Colson Center. “We’re honored to join leaders across denominations in returning to the source of all hope and truth through this public reading of Scripture at America Reads the Bible.”

Scripture reading will take place April 19-25 from 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. ET at the Museum of the Bible’s World Stage Theater, located 400 4th St. SW in Washington, D.C.

Colson Center speakers John Stonestreet, Sarah Stonestreet, Scott Miller, Michael Craven, and Luke Layow, will read from 2 Kings on April 21 beginning at 2 p.m. ET.

Attendees may watch the event for free via Pure Flix or purchase a $50 ticket to attend in person. Tickets must be purchased in advance.

“This is a national call to ignite revival, inspire discipleship, and unite believers through the power of Scripture,” said Bunni Pounds, founder of America Reads the Bible. “We believe the Word of God transforms individuals and nations—and we’re inviting Americans to engage it together.”

The Colson Center joins ministry partners from a variety of denominations in this scripture reading, including Museum of the Bible, Hope Media Group, Time to Revive, WallBuilders, Whitaker House, Salem Radio Network, American Family Association, Bott Radio Network, Allen Jackson Ministries, Christian Broadcasting Network, Jack Graham Ministries, National Religious Broadcasters, Family Research Council, First Liberty Institute, Her Voice MVMT, and PRAY.COM.
